How do I connect to the VPN?
This article is designed for Faculty and Staff members only.
No matter where you roam, having the same access as you would on campus is crucial to getting stuff done. Thanks to our VPN, you're able to work from home just like working in your office, albeit with bunny slippers.
First, you'll want to make sure you have a strong connection to either a wired or wireless network, like your home Wi-Fi. Then, you'll need to open our Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client. (If you don't see this client on your computer, you can download it from the Software Center while connected to our network.) Once it's open, you'll need to tell it to connect to vpn.pointpark.edu. After that, it should ask you for a login. You'll need to login using your University username and password. Finally, you should be connected and ready to get to work!
Depending on your type of device, you may need to take extra steps in order to connect. If you need more guidance, take a look at our article here for a more in-depth guide on connecting to the VPN.
If you still need assistance, feel free to submit a ticket by heading here, emailing us a helpdesk@pointpark.edu, or by calling us at 412-392-3494.
