Enable Large Gallery View in Teams (see more than 9 users on screen at once)
To enable the Large Gallery View (which increases the amount of camera boxes visible on screen from 9 to 49, making you able to see all participants in a class or meeting) please follow the steps below.
Please note that the Teams User Interface is basically identical on both PC & Mac, so this is article is applicable to both.
Enable Large Gallery View:
1. Open Microsoft Teams on your computer.
2. In the upper right hand corner, click your "avatar" (this will either be your display picture or your initials.)
3. Clicking this will drop down a menu, within that menu, click "settings."

4. Clicking settings will open a separate settings window, by default it should open to the "general" tab, confirm that you are in the general tab by checking the left hand side column of options.
5. Depending on your screen size, you may need to scroll down, within that general tab you will be looking for the option that says "Turn on new meeting experience," check this box.

6. After checking this box, you will need to restart teams for the change to take effect, unfortunately clicking the big X in the upper right hand corner doesn't fully quit teams, it just closes the window and keeps it running
Quitting Teams PC:
- Right click on the teams icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, choose "Quit"

Quitting Teams Mac:
- Right click (if you're using a track pad, hold "control" and then click) on the teams icon in the taskbar at the bottom of the screen, choose "Quit"

7. Open Teams again, and you should be all set.
8. Once you're in a call with more than 9 users, you should be able to utilize this feature by clicking the three dots and enabling "Large Gallery View"

Things to note:
1. If you're in a call with less than 9 users, you will not be able to see the option in the three dots dropdown, this will only make itself available once you're in a call with more than 9 users.
2. These instructions are only relevant to users on older versions of teams (such as professors teaching from classrooms on campus,) this feature has been fully implemented in the newest version, if you open up the settings window and don't see "enable new meeting experience," as an option, then it is likely you are in the most up to date version of the application where this setting is enabled by default.
